Day-to-day operations in business, hospitals, educational institutions and government depend on computers that criminals, more and more, are bent on attacking or using for their criminal enterprises. Criminals use computers to enhance their organizations, make them more productive, foster better communications, and affect their “bottom line.” With this quantum leap in the threat, law enforcement must train to investigate crimes where computers are used.
The Pueblo High-Tech Crimes Unit, located at the Pueblo County Sheriff's Investigations Annex, was created in 1998 to investigate complex computer crimes, including Internet Crimes Against Children.
