Pueblo County Sheriff's Office
Public Information Office
The Public Information Team at the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office consists of a Public Information officer for the Patrol and Detention Bureaus and one for the Emergency Services Bureau. Both PIO’s are back up to the other and are available for media inquires 24 hours a day 7 days a week.
Our team strives to provide the public with the most timely, accurate, and coordinated information possible. We utilize the Pueblo Disaster Status Board during incidents that impact the entire community. We facilitate the Pueblo Community Joint Information during multi-agency events. We coordinate the Risk Communications Network a group of risk agency PIO’s that meets quarterly to share lessons learned, training and exercise, and networking. We participate in social media with a Facebook page and a Twitter account. We often walk a thin line between satisfying all of the public information demands that come along with a criminal investigation, and the sensitivity to victims privacy and the confines of an open investigation.
Besides information during an incident or investigation, we often reach out to media outlets regarding public safety messages, and happenings at the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office. Please feel free to contact us anytime!
