Ramondo Jones, 38, was found guilty Feb. 21 of first-degree murder of a child under the age of 12 in a position of trust in the September 18, 2020, death of 14-month-old Aiden Seeley, who was in foster care at the time. The guilty verdict came following a 3-week trial. Jones was immediately sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office investigated Aiden’s death and arrested Jones on September 28, 2020. Dacey Spinuzzi, 33, who was Aiden’s foster mother at the time of his death, was sentenced Feb. 17, to 12 years in the Department of Corrections after she pleaded guilty to accessory to a crime resulting in the death of a child. Jones’ verdict was the culmination of a two-year team effort by the Sheriff’s Office and Tenth Judicial District Attorney’s Office.
