Three Homes Destroyed by Fire, Sheriff's Office Investigating

The Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office Fire Team Volunteers were dispatched to King Ridge on a structure fire at 7:30 PM today. A caller reported their trailer had exploded while they were transferring propane. The caller told 911 once the trailer was on fire, flames quickly spread to two others nearby. The caller didn't know if anyone was inside the other homes but they were out safely. Although King Ridge is outside of a Fire Protection District, wildland fire volunteers were dispatched to keep the fire from spreading. While volunteers responded to the home, additional agencies were dispatched to assist. Mutual aide responses include West Park Fire, U.S. Army Pueblo Chemical Depot Fire, Pueblo West Fire Department, American Medical Response and City of Pueblo Fire.
