UPDATE: Sheriff’s Detectives Make Arrest in Pueblo County Shooting

UPDATE: Pueblo County Sheriff’s Detectives arrested a 17-year-old male this afternoon in connection with the Friday night shooting in Eastern Pueblo County.

Detectives identified a suspect earlier today and by mid-afternoon had located the suspect. The suspect was taken into custody without incident.

The suspect, whose name is not being released because he is a juvenile, was arrested for attempted first-degree murder and second-degree assault. He has been booked into the Pueblo Youth Center.

The investigation is ongoing.


Original Post:  December 21, 2019 -- Pueblo County Sheriff’s Deputies are investigating a late Friday night shooting at a home in Eastern Pueblo County that left one juvenile male injured.

Deputies were dispatched to the 1600 block of Genes Street just before midnight on a shots fired call. As Deputies were en route to the location, they learned there had been a disturbance involving a large group of juveniles prior to shots being fired.
