Public & Media Information
The Public Information Team at the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office strives to provide the public with the most timely, accurate, and coordinated information possible.
Responsibilities & Duties
- We utilize the Pueblo Disaster Status Board during incidents that impact the entire community.
- We facilitate the Pueblo Community Joint Information Center during multi-agency events.
- We coordinate the Risk Communications Network, a group of risk communication agency Public Information Officers (PIOs), who meet quarterly to share lessons learned, training, exercises and networking.
Public Information & Privacy
We often walk a thin line between satisfying all the public information demands that come with a criminal investigation, the sensitivity to victims' privacy and the confines of an open investigation.
Media Outlets
In addition to information released during an incident or investigation, we often reach out to media outlets regarding public safety messages and happenings at the Pueblo County Sheriff's Office.
Additional Contact Information
In addition to the Public Information Officer, Sheriff David J. Lucero and all members of the command staff make themselves available for inquiries as well. Please feel free to contact us anytime!
Social Media
We participate in social media with a Facebook page , Twitter account and Instagram accounts.
